What a difference from trying to learn something from a book. A big huge heartfelt THANK YOU for taking the time putting these videos together for all of us! ~Donna-P >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Blend and Switch Technique

You summed it up so well, Jeanne. It’s funny you mentioned your pc books – I have them, too, bunches of them. I pulled one out the other day to look something up and realized how dusty they have become. My books are and will always be treasures but I think my learning style meshes so well with Cindy’s teaching style that I depend less on written info. I’ve said it before but I love that I can plunk down in front of the computer, for the whole day if I want to and work on learning something new. ~Elizabeth-S >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Tutor Lessons

Thanks from me for doing this Cindy, and I am sure you will get many more thanks from the newbies and lurkers out there who haven’t a clue what they are missing. I was sent your link to the free tear drop skinner blend a couple of years ago and was overwhelmed by the video quality and teaching method so joined up and have never been disappointed. ~Lawrence-S >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Teardrop Blend Shift Video

Thank you for the great videos you send to us each week, I have learned so much from your site that I don’t have to spend the big bucks on the books. ~Elly-M >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Diamond Pattern Ikat Cane

I have to confess, I have been played around with this technique and made 6 rings doing so, before watching this tutorial. I am one of those type people that can look at things, and almost figure out how the technique was done. I gave up on it because, I just couldn’t get it quite right. I could not get my sizes right nor could I get the band wires even. I do like the way they look though. I have to say, after watching this tutorial, I saw what I was doing wrong. Cindy Saves the day! ~Brenda-M >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Wire Wrapped Coin Bead Rings

All the videos I have seen have been helpful. Thanks for all the information! ~Marilyn-N >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Wow, what a fantastic lineup! I absolutely love canes, so I’ll admit it. I’m most excited about the Kaleidoscope cane video. I am excited to see it simplified Cindy-style (thanks for making it first!) I know I’m going to love every one of these videos, though. Gorgeous butterfly earrings, an inlay technique with realistic results, and homemade earwires to make our earrings stand out from the rest — it’s all good! I’m so happy that I finally dove in and became a member. It really is true what everyone says about the quality of the videos and instruction. I find myself excited when Fridays come, just like I know everyone else does. I only became a member last month, but I am already addicted to Cindy’s videos. I have 2 back issues already. I just watched Vol. #9 ( it features the oh-so-amazing Lietz teardrop method for quicker skinner blends, cool Mobius Beads, an awesome Extruder Mod Cane, and some absolutely adorable Trumpet Flower Beads.) There’s so much stuff here to feed creativity! Anyway, I am looking forward to all these amazing projects in store for us. Thanks, Cindy! ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Easy Kaleidoscope Canes

I have been so busy the past few months with moving and Christmas and all, I have hardly had time to look at the videos. I was thinking about just letting my subscription go but I watched this video and the one where you make the roses from the polymerized fabric. Oh Cindy, you have done it again. LOL. I am all fired up again, can’t wait to try these out and am definitely renewing again. I don’t know WHAT I was thinking in even considering letting my subscription go. I know, I do have those common sense lapses. :) Thanks for hooking me again Cindy. And I do mean that in a good way. ~Laurel-B >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymerized Cloth Mixed Media

Wonderful ideas in this video, Cindy! I am one of those who was mistakenly thinking that a “part” was a scored section of the clay, so, whew, good to realize that is not what that meant! I had even read about taking the little squares, etc, somewhere, but that had not really transferred to my brain and I needed to see your video to realize it! I, too, like the idea of the little baggies of leftover color with the names / numbers written on the front. Organization does not come naturally to me (you should see my house — or not, lol), so this video will be a huge help to me. Still thinking about Silverleaf’s idea of magnetic chips, too, for visual help in combining colors. Can make them thick enough to write the card recipe number on the side, too, so can just snatch up the recipe card out of the box I am soon going to have when I am ready to mix up a batch of colors for a project. Super! I get so excited about these tutorials and can’t wait to get to my clay, but I am supposed to be working now, so back at it I go. Thanks again for this wonderful video, Cindy! ~Becky-C >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Mixing Custom Color Recipes

Love Love Love just as I knew I would. You always take something I already know and make it even more fun to work with. I just love your pendant and earrings. Who am I kidding I love it all. You are amazing and Doug’s filming even enhances it more. So another Grand Slam to add to my list of treasured tutes. Thank you both so very much. Love and Uuuuggggs. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Rolled Mokume Gane Cane

This was an amazing month of videos. I loved making the Iris flowers and look forward to making the Peacock Feather Cane. I can’t wait to see what you have planned for us next month. You and Doug are the best, thanks for providing a place to get inspiration, support and fun!! Your tutorials are the best. ~Jeanne-C >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Video Library

Hi Cindy – I have watched the videos that have been added to my membership account so far, and am very impressed and enjoyed them all. They made me wish that I had signed up so much earlier! ~Jean-G >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Lessons

These little snowmen are so adorable. Cindy, you’re always on the top of my list for every Friday, even though I have soooo little time these days to do this. We are packing to move to a new home and everything is in disarray, but I do faithfully watch each video. Hope to be able to actually do some of the wonderful tutorials soon. Thanks for being there and lending a spot of continuity to this otherwise insane world that has suddenly become my life. ~Karonkay >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Snowman Beads for Christmas

Hi Cindy, I just had a chance to watch your snowman tutorial. It was darling. Thanks again for your many projects. I realize from my own teaching, demos and projects I’ve done for publications and websites the INCREDIBLE amount of preparation that goes into a production, no matter how simple it sounds. I wonder how many others out there that are on the receiving end, realize how much work is involved. Thanks again for going those extra miles (kms) to produce straightforward tutorials that are easy to follow in smoothly flowing videos. Kudos to you and Doug. Looking forward to more great tutorials. From a fellow Canuck (in Winterpeg). ~Pat-S >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Tutorials

It took me a long time to join because I wasn’t sure I would want to pay for a video that I couldn’t “hold in my hand” to keep. After I joined I was sorry I hadn’t joined sooner. The videos are so well done. Even though what I do isn’t as precise as Cindy’s, it is good enough for me. The enjoyment of having these lessons available whenever I want them is stupendous. ~Freda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Video Library

Rather than investing in books, get everything Cindy has in her library. You’d be much better off. The videos are always better than print and pictures. And Cindy’s prices can’t be beat. She is the best … wish I had found her before I invested in books that now just sit on the shelf. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Art Sheets

I woke up early in anticipation of the next video (5 am here in the UK) – you’ve really got me hooked Cindy! Your videos are not only cleverly produced and filmed in a way that is easy to see (thank you Doug!) but the ideas are so amazing! Every week you come up with something new and I’m always surprised. More power to your elbow Cindy! And thanks for a super web site! ~Marion-R >> This comment was originally posted here: Sculptural Birdhouse Beads

Wow, didn’t even notice this was your 200th video! Congratulations! To you, and to us, lol. We are the lucky ones.
Doug does with a camera what you do with clay – pure artistic beauty. Love this color palette. Feel the warmth on my face while sitting in my garden. So relaxing. Love Love Love.
Another great, and extremely useful, tut coming up! Tons of possibilities with this technique, too, which is what I love about everything you teach us, Cindy! I don’t think I’ve watched one video where we couldn’t take what you show us and use it in so many different ways. I guarantee, and everyone here will back me up, that you can’t go wrong in becoming a member. So many have said they thought they knew how to do a technique Cindy has done a tutorial on, only to watch her way and realize she does it better and/or faster. The video quality cannot be beat – all shots are up close, in focus, and of terrific quality so you actually see exactly what it is she’s doing, in addition to her easy to understand, step-by-step instructions. She has taken so many of us from “fumbling newbies” to actual artistic creators in such short periods of time it’s almost unreal, and I know a lot of us wouldn’t be anywhere near where we are today if not for her tutorials. One of her motto’s is “I learned by making the mistakes – Now you don’t have to” and that’s exactly what she does – she tries things out and presents them to us after they pass the Cindy test! So that small amount every three months is actually a great money, and time, saver! I hope you decide to join us! ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes and Videos

This membership has been vital to me and the cost very, very manageable, even though I could say I definitely have a low income. Actually, in comparison to the actual supplies and extras that I have purchased for this art form, the tutorials are the real bargain!!! I love Cindy’s voice, too, and her method of teaching us. I have bought a few other tutorials elsewhere on the web when there is a little extra money available and while they are very good written instructions, they just do not compare in any way with Cindy’s and Doug’s videos in quality, thoroughness or bang for my buck. I will be forever grateful that I found this website. Thank you so much, Cindy and Doug! ~Becky-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Videos

I absolutely agree. I’m a teacher too and I can recognize good teaching. Cindy is the best teacher. I’ve watched a lot of other jewelry videos and read books but it makes a big difference watching Cindy. You can pause the video and actually go along with her. She makes things so simple and easy you simply get encouraged and motivated to try it out. And Doug’s photos are amazing – the clarity and angles. It’s certainly worth every cent and the cost is a real deal. I would encourage anyone to definitely sign on and buy the membership. I have bought the whole collection and I’m so glad I did. ~Cheryl-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

I had such a fun weekend doing the faux dichroic technique. They came out beautifully. In the past when I was working with the mica powders I was actually throwing them away when I got it in other places where I did not want it. Why O’ Why do all the people who tell you about it in books, not tell you that you can get rid of the mistakes so easily. I love your video tutorials Cindy. ~Karon-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Dichroic Glass Mica Technique

I owe about 90% of my success to Cindy’s video tutorials, and the other 10% to having every polymer clay book published. I think it’s a disease. The Cindy part has been a big inspiration though. It’s like a kick in the muse every Friday. ~Bonnie-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Cutie-Pie Cookie Cutter Canes

Cindy, I just watched the butterfly wing cane video. How wonderful! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your teaching style. I felt like we were at the same kitchen table. I’m looking forward to learning much from you. Big Smiles. ~Judy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Blue Morpho Butterfly Wing Cane Tutorial

I LOVE the videos!!! Please don’t stop! I have learned SO much and I am a visual learner so the videos are great! You inspire me to be neat too. Your workspace seems so clean. ~Kim-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Bead Magazine Tutorials vs Web Video Lessons

I really love the way the whole clay community shares knowledge and techniques, but there are so many drawbacks to the freebies on the net. Often the sound is muffled; important info is left out or you just can’t see properly what is done. I’ve watched some that fail to show what the final result yields! If a small fee saves time; frustration; AND builds a huge library of accessible information, it’s fulfilling an educational need. Not to mention the community that forms because of this commitment to quality. Cindy, your site is also a wonderful way to connect with many other creative people and offers a great solution to those of us who aren’t able (distance or $$) to attend real life workshops or classes. I think you have such a dedicated following because we sense that dedication in you. ~DJ >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor

Thank you Cindy! I knew you would make it soooooo much easier to understand. I get it now! I can’t wait to practice. I’ve watched so many other people demonstrate this technique but it never made sense to me. I had a mental block. But your teaching method is so clear and logical and I can also replay the video anytime I need clarity. Fantastic! ~Cara-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Lessons

It is such a good feeling to have our work posted by Cindy. It’s like when we were in school and the teacher put something of ours up on the bulletin board. I would know virtually nothing about polymer clay techniques if it weren’t for Cindy’s videos and all the work that Doug does behind the scenes. Thank you both so much. I do appreciate you more than you realize. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Blend and Switch Technique

Thank you for showing that video as I had no idea on how to handle that. I have that tool and have never used the buffing wheel. Now I have a reason to use it. Thanks again. ~Pat-O >> This comment was originally posted here: Buffing Polymer Clay Beads

Thank you so much for showing this technique in video. I did see you explain the technique on your HUB. I really have gotten much more now from seeing it done… in action. Hugs to you. ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Image Transfer To Polymer Clay

First of all, I want to thank you Cindy again for all the help you gave me and how patient you were when I had some trouble with my username and password. Well I’m all squared away now and very happy with my charter membership and am enjoying all the videos I couldn’t get access to before. I occasionally feel like I need some inspiration at times and these videos and color recipes are definitely useful. I encourage everyone who hasn’t signed up yet to do so – it really is a great deal. Plus Cindy is very prompt at answering one’s questions / concerns about this addictive medium. ~Maria-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Library

I looked at the “library”, and since Vol. 016, there’s been a metal or wire working tute once a month. At first I wanted all the videos to be polymer clay, since there are lots of wire/metal tutorials available out there, and not so many for PC. But the majority of the members here seem to want a bit of metal in their tutorials. I’ve come to love Cindy’s videos and teaching style, so I don’t mind one of the monthly videos being metal. In fact, I end up loving the tutes, even if it’s something I already know how to do. Cindy always manages to teach me something. ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Findings for Polymer Clay Jewelry

Brilliant! Artistic! Fabulous! I love it! Great work Cindy.. Doug.. Your video’s are the Bomb! I can’t hardly wait to get started on this one :) ~Brenda-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Blend and Switch Technique

Thanks for the great video.
Cindy’s site is a wonderful place to be inspired … you can’t help but get ideas for jewelry … her weekly tutorial videos really can’t be beat. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Jenny Rohrs Craft Test Dummies Review

I have not been very vocal on the site – I am a new graduate from nursing school, and was still in school when I joined. Then I have been busy with boards and job hunting, but I do have some extra time now to go back and try out all the techniques I missed. These videos are terrific, and at a super value for at home tutoring. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to join and to get the videos with no hassle. Cindy is a great teacher, and everyone here is so helpful as well! Thank you so much for your input and for welcoming me to the site. ~Catherine-D >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorial Videos

As sad as it was I still watched this tute twice without sound and enjoyed it. Now that tells you just how awesome Cindy and Doug are. I love the copper tape idea because I love Copper it is my favorite. So thank you so much for the silent movie Cindy and Doug. I will be sure to let you know how the one with sound is, when my hubby fixes the computer. Although I am sure I know already!!!!!! To be continued later today. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Pendants Wrapped with Copper Foil

I LOVE your videos. Yesterday I went out for a Christmas lunch with a couple of friends and gave them each a bracelet I’d made and they went wild! Also, I was wearing a necklace I’d made and the waitresses all wanted to know where I got it! Do I feel ‘artistic’ or what?? ~Isabel-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Sanding with Micromesh Abrasives

Cindy – just wanted to tell you that I love your tutorials. I have learned more in the last two weeks than I have in the last four years. I love working with clay but you have made it into an obsession for me. I learn so much faster when I can see it done rather than reading and making so many mistakes. I had made up my mind to pay for the video lessons at another site, at upwards of fifty dollars for just one class. Then I stumbled upon your site. Wow!!! you have made it affordable even for those of us on a limited income. THANK You so much! I will continue to purchase all the back issues as I can and look forward to all the new ones. Again thanks for being there. ~Karon-C >> This comment was originally posted at this link: Polymer Clay Jewelry

Cindy I just have to tell you that this technique is a wonderful addition to your teaching. Beautiful and it looks easy for a technique that at first seemed intimidating. One other thing I want to say. I just purchased a video from another publisher about resin work. The artist is quite well known, as well as the company. However, the quality of the video was no where comparable to your videos. You and your husband do such a wonderful job producing your videos that it is the standard from which I judge others… and I have yet to find any that don’t come up short! Your instructions are clear, the photography is excellent, and the boxed close ups are so valuable. You do beautiful work, and provide a great value too. I look forward to each Friday! ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Lietz Teardrop Blend Color

You won’t find better – or less expensive – videos any where. Cindy’s videos are Class AAA. Her husband, Doug, does the filming. They make a great team and have a way of making it seem as if I were right in the room looking over Cindy’s shoulder. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Community

Dear Cindy. Well, I am sitting here for hours just enjoying all that you have to offer!!! It is actually 3:38 in the morning where I am, and I just finished going through many videos… some that were new to me, and some that I had seen months ago. It is really cool seeing the ones I already saw before, because it is like I am seeing them with new eyes, and learning even more the second time around! I really want to encourage anyone who is going back and forth about whether or not to get a Paid Membership… DO IT, YOU WILL BE SOOOOOOO GLAD YOU DID!!! ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Library

I became a regular member a few weeks ago. I thought about doing it when I first came across this blog, but I put it off. Now I am kicking myself, because I missed out on all that value! At least now I will get future videos at the super cheap price. I will also try to pick up the back issues every time I can afford to. I just love this site and Cindy’s videos! (And, of course, polymer clay) ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Flower Cane Tutorials

Overwhelmed after seeing the last three video tuts in a row, I can tell you. Cindy is the best teacher out there for my money. ~Jocelyn-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Blue Morpho Butterfly Wing Cane

WOW.. I’m in awe of the possibilities with this one! Cindy, you’ve really outdone yourself! So many different variations we can apply, I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! Thank you so very much for an excellent tut and an amazing new technique, and thanks to Doug for his awesome video skills again this week. Have a great weekend! ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Mixed Media Art Sheets

I have made molds for old buttons and pieces of jewelry with scrap clay but I have to admit this looks so much easier. Thank you for the way you walk us through the tute Cindy, you have a way of simplifying it. Thank you Doug for you awesome filming. Without you Cindy would not be able to show us any of this. Together the two of you are perfect team who knows how to get the point across to your students. Always giving so much and asking so little. Thank you once again for being the best!!! Many Uuuugggs. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Sculpey MoldMaker

Cindy, I’d like to take this opportunity to let you know that I have only just recently become a member and I am so impressed with the videos. I especially liked the alcohol ink on foil technique. Your instruction is just wonderful and I have already learnt so many terrific things. Your excellent videos really are the way to learn. They’re fab! I’m so pleased I found your website. With kind wishes, I’m in Australia :-) ~Fran-Y >> This comment was originally posted here: Morning Coffee with Cindy Lietz

I recently ordered resin from Terry and noticed he had some new products, the silicone was one of them I watched his video and thought wow this looks like a great product and easy to use.
Thank you so much Cindy for this brilliant yet simple idea! My mind just took off as I realised the potential, the sky’s the limit! I also want to thank you for making Friday such a special day, I get a real thrill on Thursday when I realise I only have to wait a few more hours for another super video! ~Marion-R >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Druzy Polymer Clay Tutorial

Wow, Cindy, it’s like you’ve read my mind again. I am very excited for this video and the next! I can see that this year is going to be just as good as last year.
Hi Cindy and all, just watched this weeks video on Mixing colour recipes. Thank you so much Cindy. I do exactly what you do and had figured it all by my little self, but it is so good to see it reiterated here and to know I have been going the right way about it. The tip about putting the 4 colours in a plastic bag, is great as I never know what to do with the left overs as I seem to make a bit much sometimes, if not making the project for it at the time, but was not so organised as to the clay leftovers, so that was a help. I do use my cutters just like you demonstrated, so was glad to see, it was a good AHA moment for me, and I felt good that I am doing it right, or at least in the same manner. It is always good to see it done visually like this, and these videos put us right there with you. So thanks for your wonderful videos, they really make my week. BTW I was working with some new students today on colour mixing so it is timely for me to enhance what I think I know about it. I have a collection like you and giggled to myself when you said you had quite a few recipes printed out but not got to doing the chip yet, same here, I am so behind with that too. Next lesson could be how to find more hours in the day LOL. Thanks again. Love. ~Elizabeth-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Mixing Custom Color Recipes

I am new to polymer clay, and want to learn all I can. So now I will be able to do so with the help of your videos. They are so informative and the close-ups are super. I want to buy more of your videos for my collection. But the problem is, I want them all. LOL. I guess I will have to be patient and purchase what I can, when I can. Thanks for having it so back videos are available. ~Esther-O >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library

Again, your added tips and tricks! Every time I view your videos I learn something! How great is that…. thanks, hugs. ~Patt-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Tips For Filling Metal Bezels

Hi Cindy, I’ve been a member for a few years now and I truly enjoy your work. The Lord has blessed you with many talents and I have learned a lot. Today’s video did not disappoint – none of them do. I appreciate what you and Doug are doing here. Thank you. ~Michelle-A >> This comment was originally posted here: Grape Hyacinth Flower Cane

Cindy, your videos are well worth the money even though I am not one to make beads. The information is good for all aspects of working with polymer clay. I have bought quite a few of your videos and subscribe to the weekly videos which I look forward to. I have read polymer clay info but seeing you do it makes all the difference to me. Thanks. ~Jean-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Video Library

It blows my mind how you can keep coming up with ideas! God Bless You and your family.
It’s mind boggling to think there are people out there that don’t realize your site is the BEST out there. Your videos are clear and very informative. I own Polymer Clay books, although I have learned from them they don’t even come close to what I’ve learned from watching your tutorials. The other great reason for being a member is the fact that you are constantly trying new products such as the Micromesh pads, Ultra Dome etc. that keeps us on the top of the Polymer Clay world. With out you and Doug, life as a clayer would be so mundane. You encourage all of us to explore all possibilities and push the envelope to be creative. The cost to be a member is so minimal for what we get. We definitely get a bang for our buck!! Besides, there aren’t any other sites where you can state a clay problem your having and get so much helpful suggestions. Everyone here has been there done that so as a newcomer everyone takes you under their wings to help you to bloom in the new and wonderful craft of claying. ~Jeanne-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor

Hi Cindy, this is the coolest. I have learned so much from your videos. I finally got sanding down to a science, thanks to the micromesh pads. The faux agate video has also helped me tremendously. My beads are really coming along. Thank you so much for all your videos. It is taking my jewelry designs to another level. ~Ifama-J >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Watched this a couple of times now, and am amazed at how many techniques you combine and information you share in 12 min. Really fun to watch, too. I can add two more… when you get to the scrap stage, pile them and slice mokume gane style, and of course… do a couple of lentil beads. Anyone else? I love that I can use a whole cane or sheet of fabric clay to the max based on everything I’ve learned here. Before, I did one thing and walked away… now, the table is piled with experiments! ~Jocelyn-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Art Sheets

I agree… it really is very easy to sit for maybe ten minutes to learn the most important part of a technique and not have to sit through the idea that might be beaten to death in a long video. ~Koolbraider >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Videos

Cindy’s videos make you want to grab the clay and go. There are many tutes that make you WANT to clay, but the difference with Cindy’s videos is that you really DO grab that clay… she gives you the confidence to start the projects. I’ve read so many other people say the same thing. Something about her teaching style gives you that boost, knowing you’ll be able to do it if you just try. That’s just one of many reasons I’m a devoted Cindy fan. ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Thank you Cindy. I really believe my beads are so much better because of your wonderful tutorials. You make them so easy to follow and to actually accomplish. ~Jackie-N >> This comment was originally posted here: Sanding Polymer Clay with Micromesh Abrasives

Thanks again Cindy, for providing such a great resource! One thing I absolutely love is your video previews! I can’t tell you how many times I have bought the back issues based solely on the previews, because you let us see the “end result”. Sometimes, when the thumbnail and title doesn’t quite make me hit the buy button, the preview sways me into the BUY mode :) ~Amy-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library

Karonkay – Wow, isn’t Cindy a bargain, lol? I simply love, love, love the fact that we keep all these videos in our libraries and can simply pull them up to watch at any time! I could never remember all the steps to do some of these effects and styles without going back to look at the videos again. I truly am still so thrilled I found Cindy’s site and subscribed. Worth every penny and then some. ~Rebecca-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Buffing Polymer Clay Beads

I just adore your videos! They are very helpful to me. Today I send my husband to buy me a dremel tool! ~Oana-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polyclay Beginners

Thanks Cindy, this is a great video. I really learn much better visually, and now I completely understand how to make the mobius bead. Your written instructions are always wonderful, but for me, it is the videos that teach me the most :) Enjoy your Sunday. As always, hugs to you. ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: How To Make Mobius Beads

I’m a show me kinda gal and thoroughly enjoy watching Cindy’s tutorials. But I do agree with some comments made. Like not having a computer handy to my work area until recently. Videos had to be watched and then I had to come back if I had a question. That’s why I started taking notes and making little thumbnail sketches from videos. So I could take that with me to my clay table to refer back to. But I find with Cindy’s videos that she covers a topic so completely and in simple steps I hardly ever have questions or have to rewatch them in order to have success in the first try. I did work from books with some success for a long time before there was internet and videos to be had. But there were lots of mistakes made and questions unanswered with just using that approach. I have to say I like the video much better. But I do still use both sources for inspiration, ideas and new techniques. And I get lots of both right here from Cindy! XOXO ~Jamie-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Bead Video Tutorials

I know I have saved at least $3.32 in clay and aggravation by watching the Videos. Lord knows I have enough scrap clay already !!! When you consider the cost of a PC book, these videos are a bargain. Let’s say a PC book with 15 projects is $26.00 (US); you may not even like all the projects in the book. For $26.56 you get an 8 month membership with 32 videos, plus color recipes!! I am not a math person but it makes sense to me. What I like about the video library is that I can go back and watch the videos later. Sometimes I may not be doing a particular project at the time but want to use that technique a couple months later. ~Anna-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Leopard Cane Tutorial

Yes, the videos are super … best in the world! This is also a group of very caring individuals. We all love polymer clay but are not in the least bit selfish with out tips and ideas. Everyone seems willing to share for the good of all. Cindy has fostered this wonderful attitude and keeps us going. It is truly a great place to be. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Agate Tutorial

Cindy, I’ve dabbled in wire-wrapping and have a ton of books, but there’s nothing better than actually seeing it happen… especially when you are the teacher. ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Wire Wrapped Coin Bead Rings

I KNEW you’d make this easy for us, Cindy! A super great tut – Thank you so much for showing us how to do this! And thanks, Doug, for your amazing filming skills. Keep ‘em coming! ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Wire Wrapped Rings

Well my predictions were right. I love this tute, totally understand it and now understand the one I purchased a couple of years ago before I found Cindy, even more. To top that my imagination after watching Cindy’s tute is wondering a lot further than it did with the other tute. Pictures and filming as always superb Doug. The Lietz team does it again, BAM right out of the ballpark. THANK YOU BOTH FOR ANOTHER GREAT TUTE FOR NEXT TO NOTHING. BIG HEARTS HAVE BIG IDEAS!!! Clayfully yours. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Make Your Own Custom Bead Caps

Fantastic video. I have the cutters with the little flower. The beads will look even more unique now with handmade bead caps.
I love this flower petal! It’s so pretty and I’m so excited to try it…. but first I shall sleep. I love getting home Friday mornings and watching the weekly video before I go to bed to dream of the polymer clay fun waiting for me later! ~Melinda-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Spotted Lily Petal Cane

I agree with you. I know I wouldn’t be enjoying claying around without the techniques Cindy gives us and the wonderful video work by Doug. I also love the written word but learn so much better and faster with a visual. A million thanks go to you, Cindy and Doug, I don’t think I’ve said that lately. September was a great month, following along with so many previous ones. Of course I have my favorites but that list is getting longer all the time. Gotta go and clay around. ~Joyce-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Videos

Cindy – Honestly, I would be willing to pay a lot more for my membership! You have so many innovative, creative, and time saving tips that are such a great help! Most of my best selling jewelry has been, in one way or another, inspired by at least one of your videos! ~Carrie-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Videos

I thought at first, I couldn’t afford the monthly videos, but man was I wrong. I hardly notice the cost, and it only comes out once every quarter. The help of actually SEEING what Cindy is doing is beyond words. It’s one thing to tell someone in writing how to do a particular technique, but watching it is so much better. I am proud to say that I have now completed my collection of the videos Cindy has made with my purchase of the beginner’s course. It has been worth EVERY cent. Keep up the outstanding work Cindy and Doug. I’m here for the long haul. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Video Library

Really wish I’ve found Cindy’s web site a long time ago as I’ve been reading about polymer clay for over a year, but was always scared to jump into it. Cindy’s videos really made polymer clay a “user friendly” hobby :) ~Rada-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Cindy, I can only guess at the number of hours you and Doug put into the videos and website – you’re providing a needed service to the PC community. It’s pretty safe to say that most of us cannot afford to travel to take special classes so it’s wonderful to be able to sit in my jammies at home and learn from you. The best part is being able to view the instructions anytime again to refresh my memory on the technique. Keep up the GREAT instruction work on such timely PC and wire techniques. Best Regards. ~Lynn-V >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Learning

Cindy, you opened up a brave new world for me with the videos and images you and Doug capture. To me, you two should win awards for the way you teach. ~Jocelyn-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

I was lucky enough to be given a netbook by my family so I can watch Cindy’s fabulous tutorials over and over again right at my work table which is almost like having her right in the room with me! My only regret is not having joined sooner. ~Susan-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Agates Popular This Week

That is so cool Cindy! I can’t wait to get home and try it! I am really excited about trying that in rainbow colors! Thanks so much for all these awesome videos!
Oh wow how cool! This was a really neat video!
What an informative video! It’s all very well reading about using a tool to buff, but its only when you see how to hold the tool etc it all becomes clear.
Dear Cindy, I am so fortunate to have found your blog, and I am very grateful that I have been able to enjoy your “Polymer Clay Bead Making for Beginners Course.” I have learned more from your course, and your bonus videos, than I could have ever guessed I would learn. Each of your videos is so jam-packed with information… yet, because you really know how to teach, you make it all seem so simple and doable. You explain, in detail, how every part of each process works. You have taught me what tools are the best to use, and how to use them. You have taught me the differences between each different kind of polymer clay, and the best way to work with each of them. Each time I finish a video that you have made, I go away knowing, without a doubt, how to do what I have just been taught. I now have great confidence in my abilities when I work with my clay, thanks to all that I have learned from watching your videos. Through your videos, I have learned how to avoid many mistakes (after all, you have already made them for me!), and how to make beautiful beads, jewelry, and anything I want to make! Making beads and other projects with polymer clay used to be so mysterious to me, now, thanks to your beginner course, I understand what I am doing, and I just get to have all kinds of fun!!! I can hardly wait to so what more you have in store for all of us! Sorry… I have no complaints!!! Sincerely. ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Cindy, I have commented about your presentations before, but one point that I believe has been missed is the verbal aspect of learning which your videos provide. Very important for those who learn more easily by hearing. ~MJ >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Video Lessons

Hi Cindy: As you know I recently bought your Beginner’s course and I find it is just great. All those hints and tips make a great difference for someone like me just learning how to work with polymer clay (don’t find these in books). Some of us are more visual and need to really see how to do it rather than read on how it needs to be done. I find it just amazing that I can get a video course and see it as many times as I want and stop it, go back, etc. I started making jewelry as a hobby about 5 years ago and think that being able to create our own beads, pendants, etc. in the colors of our choice is amazing. The other thing I like about it is that creating something really opens up your mind and imagination as to what we are capable of. Keep up your great work and please let me know when your next course will be available as I will certainly buy it. Thank you so much. ~Gail-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials on Video

Cindy’s video tutes are amazing! The Polymer Clay Tutor’s videos teach you everything, step by step… and up-close, like you’re right there learning with her. If you’re interested in working with polymer clay, this is definitely the right place! Sign up for Cindy’s free newsletter and get 3 free videos, as well as new color recipes each week. I joined — became a member — a year ago, and I absolutely love it! It’s really the best way to learn on the web… and it’s incredibly inexpensive. ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Polymer Clay Beads

Yes, Christi is fun and has some great ideas in her books … I have several … they still don’t hold a candle to Cindy’s videos. I guess it is the difference between the written and the visual. I’ll go for the visual any time. Wish I could attend conferences and workshops. Can’t do that so Cindy’s tutorials are the absolute best way for me to go. No one does them better! ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Baking Beads

Cindy, When I emailed you to ask why I did not receive my weekly Friday video and recipe, I was jumping the gun I forgot it is Thursday not Friday. What can I say, waiting for your videos is like waiting to open Christmas presents.
I will also be rocken this weekend.
I tend to feel the same way about our lessons that Elizabeth-K and Elizabeth-S have shared. The videos are structured enough that we have concise direction, but also give enough freedom to allow our own ideas to take shape. This is a really important balance, having practical information to explore through without losing the basics that make a technique work. I really love that wandering is encouraged both by Cindy and the supportive blog community too! More ideas, generate more ideas. The roughly 10 minute time frame works as well, we can all allow time in our day for that. Any longer and I could easily see myself putting off tutorials until I could fit them in. ~DJ >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Micromesh Sanding Tutorial

When other people film a clay tutorial, why do they not understand the importance of the close up? And don’t get me started on the sound quality. Anything on YouTube I have to plug speakers into my laptop so I don’t have to lip read. With Cindy, you KNOW you are going to get a professional, easily understood and well thought out lesson with great picture and sound. It’s like Cindy and Doug went to film school. They get it. ~Jill-V >> This comment was originally posted here: Beaded Lanyards

Hiya Cindy, Your tutorials are the best Cindy, and with your tute’s I have so little scrap clay and I always am able to find a use for the scraps. And I’m very glad your tute’s are so affordable. I learn so much from you. And thanks to Doug too – his video’s and photography are fantastic! Thank you both for all you do for us, your students!!! One of your many grateful students. ~Lisa-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library

Hello, I have been a member on Cindy’s site since September of 2008, and I love it! First of all, Cindy Lietz is a real sweetheart. She really appreciates all her members and even those who just stop by for a visit. If for some reason you can’t find the answers to your questions . . . just email her personally and she will get back to you almost immediately. She has created a vast library of information and adds to it every week. A great deal of her instruction and information is Free, no cost. Her videos are well done: she shows you close-up angles, details, and tapes at a speed that is easy to follow. But my goodness, for $3.32 per month, how can you go wrong! I feel very fortunate to have discovered her site. I have found nothing else online to compare with what she offers. Also her blog has great commentary from Cindy and other Poly artists. Polymer clay lovers. . . I highly recommend this wonderful site! ~Debbie-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Beads

Welcome to the best place on the web for polymer clay info and instruction. You definitely have come to the right place. Be sure to check out Cindy’s free videos, if you haven’t already. Her videos are truly top drawer. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Preserve Your Memories II

Dear Cindy – I just watched the [Rose Bead] video. Thankyou-thankyou-thankyou!!!! I really needed to see the whole process because I have read instructions on how to make flowers and they were as clear as mud. Your instructions however are so clear and the colour blending is so logical and practical. I can see myself making all sorts of flowers using this technique. I can’t wait for next week. Your online classes are so fantastic and I look forward to each one! Thanking you again. Your grateful student. ~Cara-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Sculpted Rose Beads

I don’t use credit cards but it may be a good idea to get one for this video. And yes Cindy and Doug you deserve all the praise anyone could ever give you. Your teaching is first class and your costs worth every penny, or should I say cent (hardly know its gone from my bank its such a small amount). And Doug your video shots are so clear a true professional. Love you both. So come on you non-members, join us. You won’t miss the price of a hot dog a month – that’s about what this costs and 100% more benefit. We are learning and having fun just chatting to each other so come and meet us as a member. ~Ritzs >> This comment was originally posted here: Leopard Cane Tutorial

Great idea Peggy! I belong to the NYC Polymer Clay Guild and at last month’s meeting, I talked about Cindy and her Polymer Clay Tutor. As a matter of fact, another guild member also subscribes to this website. It is so easy to promote Cindy. Her course is extremely informative and her weekly newsletters are chock full of great ideas and tips! I can’t wait for May!!!! Like I always say when I get together with my girlfriends “Happy Happy Joy Joy”!!!! Thanks again Cindy! ~Hobokenmary >> This comment was originally posted here: Ivy Charm, Leopard and Zebra Canes, UV Resin

Hi Cindy thanks for the tumbler video, I love mine. Please keep the videos coming, I’m hooked on polymer clay thanks to you and your videos. ~Paul-A >> This comment was originally posted here: Polished Beads

Brand new to the craft. My stepfather, who just passed last week, had been doing polymer clay for 2 years and even sold his wares in the nursing home. My wife and I are going to try it and perhaps we can move from novice to where we can supplement our income. I am really excited, love your video’s (bought the 39 lesson beginner’s lessons) they are extremely helpful and a darn sight better than learning from a book – although we have a book or two as well. ~Doug-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

It is so thrilling to see so many people getting into and enjoying all the variations of polymer clay – isn’t it? I think having great teachers like yourself is what is needed everywhere. I was devastated to learn that they quit teaching it in Red Deer. They only teach cake decorating now! I would have to travel to Calgary to take a lesson – so why bother? I enjoyed my instructional videos from you so much and now that I am (finally) finished my sewing project for my brother I can sit down and review those videos again and then join the members library! Wowza! I’m so excited! ~Aims >> This comment was originally posted here: Craft Classes

Your video has become my Friday treat. My favorite tip so far has been the plastic wrap when making buttons. What a difference. I’ve been trying every week to turn your video into a document so that I can have the instructions next to me while I work. I think it was last week that you gave us graphics of the project and this helped me a lot, not having to pause the video and capture a shot to paste into my document. It would be wonderful if you could occasionally do this. It was great. Thanks. ~Janet-A >> This comment was originally posted here: UV Resin Techniques

Cindy: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you – for the Bonus Videos – What a treat! I love the this one with the crayons – can’t wait to try the technique. I am thoroughly enjoying all the videos – I feel I am learning lots! I have my computer running while I am mixing up my colors and playing – it’s like having a friend right there with me. Thank you for all that you have put together with your web site. I hope you don’t get tired of producing videos – because I so look forward to seeing an e-mail from you. Happy claying. ~Molly-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Inclusions

I think the $3 per month is well worth it because your instruction are so good and I need someone to show me. I don’t learn well from pictures in a book that don’t show half of the steps, whereas your videos show all of the steps right there in front of you. Your site is a very valuable service to me and well worth the price! ~Diana-P >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials on Video

Cindy, Just want to let you know that I have learned so very much from watching your videos, and I enjoy your relaxed style of teaching. You have kept me going during some trying times. Thanks so much! ~Barbara-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Fimo Jewelry Making

I always hope to see an email from you when I check my emails. Keep those videos acomin’. ~Lani-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Yellow Fimo Clay

Wow, Cindy!!! This all sounds soooooo fantastic!!! Well, of course our Polymer Clay Angel would think of all of these wonderful things for us!!! You truly are amazing:)!!! I can hardly wait! I just want to suggest that the more photos of color recipe examples, or of yours or other people’s work that includes these recipe colors, would be great too. I love any and every photo that you share with us. I am not quite sure how you might fit this idea in, but I love to “see” what is being taught. This is probably one reason that I love your videos!!! I am sure that however you do all of the above, you will make it be great for us …you always do!!! :) ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Video Polymer Clay Tutorials

Your videos are perfect, don’t change a thing. I am new and bad at making beads and your videos are most helpful. ~Barbara-J >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Reader Survey

Bravo Hun on another great tutorial. You made it look so simple and easy. Wish I’d have seen this when I tried my first ones. I remember trying to follow directions from a book and agonizing over trying to make mine look like the ones in the illustrations. But of course there weren’t enough pictures. And of course they didn’t look very much like leaves when I was done. Unless of course they were some kind of radioactive mutant plant form, LOL! But if I could have watched a good tutorial like yours I have no doubt I would have done much better and much sooner, with lots less frustration. Thanks so much for being you and sharing so generously with everyone the way you do. I know if more people could watch your tutorials, the ranks of clayers would grow exponentially when they saw how easy and fun it really is and passed the word along. XOXO ~Jamie-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Leaf Canes

Cindy, I love your videos and look forward to receiving them every week. They have taught me so much. Right now I am trying to get “caught up” on all the back blog articles and videos. I learn something new every time. Keep up the great work. ~Lynn-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Video was very well done. I decided to watch it even though a skinner blend is something I think I do fairly well. The water tip was good, sometimes my work area is warm and the clay is sticky. Also the butting it against the side of the pasta machine. ~Nora-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Skinner Blend Technique

Thanks for the welcome! I have been poking around this blog for months now. I am kicking myself for not joining sooner. I see now that I could have had access to the last few months of videos for a third the price, but I thought I knew enough that I didn’t “need” the subscription. But, after watching my first 2 member videos, I can see that it would have been soooo worth it. I have learned some new things already, and I’m sure there are many more great things in store for me. You are a great teacher, and you have such a supportive group of people here at your blog. I’m glad I finally made it to member status! (If only there was a way to wind back the clock and get Vol. 14 to 19 for $3.32 each instead of $9.95! What a dummy I am!). Sorry, I tend to be long-winded. Thanks again for such a great place to visit! I think I’m going to like it here. :) ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Polymer Clay

I have been so busy with baby season (I do wildlife rescue and take in orphans) that I have been unable to check your web site and just today saw the video on the food processor. Clear and very understandable. ~Patricia-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Silver Spoon Polymer Clay Pendants

I got my first newsletter video today through your email. Thanks! Another great one. I thought I might share a great tip I got from a friend of mine regarding blade safety. She paints nail polish on the edge of the blade she picks it up with. It helps dramatically NOT to pick up by the wrong edge. ~Lynnellen-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Craft Storage Boxes for Fimo Clay

Hi Cindy, I just bought the extruder and I am anxiously awaiting way to stretch my investment. I also work full time so the more I can maximize my time the better it is for me. I am enjoying all of the back ordered videos and color recipes, such a wealth of knowledge! ~Tinuke-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Extruder Mod Canes

Hi Cindy, Just watched the video and now I know what my mistake was. These beads are beautiful. I’d love to know how to make some of these canes. Will you do a tute on those sometime? Your “finger gloves” cracked me up (yep that was what I was thinking.) Thanks for another great video! ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Trumpet Flower Beads

Podcasts, yippey. I am a visual learner so I listen to your videos then I play them again with the sound off, so I can watch your hands handle the clay. I learn so much that way. Now to have another way of learning about clay is going to be so niffty. Thank Doug and hug yourself from me for all your hard effort to make this community what it is. ~Illaya-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Beads, Beading and Polymer Clay

I am from Orlando, FL and haven’t found anyone who works in polymer clay around here so this site has been awesome. I have watched the instructional tuts and have come a long way in a few weeks. I also joined so I am looking forward to Friday’s tut on dichroic look. I have successfully incorporated PC into a piece, now I just have to refine the process. I have a feeling that before long I will into making beads and jewelry too. ~Lorrie-A >> This comment was originally posted here: Craft Glue for Polymer Clay Projects

I highly recommend The Polymer Clay Tutor. Watching Cindy’s videos are like having her right in your studio. She makes me fill not so “alone” in a big polymer clay world. I especially appreciate the fact that, as an expert, Cindy does not make me feel like a silly newbie as some experts can. She understands the trials and tribulations that occur with a learning curve and it is her focus to help us learn from her mistakes. It’s because of Cindy’s videos that I had the courage to actually take the next step, rather than just reading books over and over. In addition to the great videos, Cindy provides other invaluable resources in her daily blogs and color recipes. And if you have questions, comments, or feedback, she is prompt in her responses. This gal works very hard and is dedicated. You can’t go wrong with The Polymer Clay tutor. Oh…and she has a really cute accent! ~Stacey-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Fossil Shell Beads

I am a member of Cindy’s Polymer Clay Tutor site. I stumbled on her accidentally while looking for a way to make poly clay faces for a beading project. She is not only responsive and amazingly generous with her information, but a fantastic teacher. I finally “get” some of the techniques I had been reading about and trying to grasp for a long time. I am a subscriber to her site and videos and feel her $3.32 charge per month to be a small price to pay for all the information available there. ~Ritzs >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Jewelry Business

Regarding the monthly membership, it’s very low – I barely notice the $9.95 after 90 days (and 12 tutes!) The tutorials end up costing around 80 cents each, which is lower than any video tutorial out there! Especially when you consider the quality of Cindy’s videos – so very good! The only thing I regretted when I joined was waiting – I missed out on paying the low price as the videos I’d seen them discussing at the blog got put into the back issue library! Hope you decide to join us! ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

I just enjoy watching your videos Cindy! Not only are they instructive and helpful. They are also “real”. I love that you don’t edit out the little oopses or have an elaborate set, in a dream studio, like some videos I have watched. For most of us who do or have done, the majority of our crafting at the kitchen table or less. Its nice to see you work in a simple setting and with tools that most of us probably have too. And to see you dealing with the clay, even when it doesn’t always cooperate, the same as we do. Although, (evil grin) I’d love to see if you have the same untidy creative effect on the rest of your studio, as most of us probably do. LOL, I know mine is a wreck when I get done with a major idea storm. Any chance of a peek at the rest of your clay haven? XOXO ~Jamie-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Making a Basic Leaf Cane

Love it, Cindy! Thanks for bringing that out again. You are so comfortable in front of the camera it amazes me (you tend to amaze me quite often, actually!). And Doug’s video techniques and special touches are top notch. There’s no way I’d ever be able to learn every thing you teach us without you guys. ~Tanya-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Artists

What’s great about Cindy’s videos is that she presents one technique in detail and at just the right pace. I also like that she shows us different angles of the beads which you cannot see in a photo. Some other U-tube videos present too much information, too fast, and I find myself always having to rewind and forward to get to the right spot. Anna-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Magazine Tutorials vs Web Video Lessons

Dear Cindy: I have found all your videos to be very helpful. Your presentations are clear and you are pleasing to listen to. Thanks for helping us out with sharing your knowledge. Keep up the good work! Bless you. ~Zoe-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Beads

Dear Cindy, I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to do your online bead course. My problem was that I was overwhelmed by all the reading material available and unable to translate the information into action. I was in a frustrated state of inaction. In Australia there are very few good polymer clay courses and they are expensive. Books do not show you exactly how to do things, just because the amount of pictures available are limited and the subtleties of technique are omitted. Your course however is invaluable. Your manner of tuition is the best that I have encountered. You are clear and concise and not a bit patronizing. You are very generous because you give a clear message that these techniques are achievable and you encourage experimentation. I have you there 24 hours a day on video, so that I can recheck my methodology. I am not anxious about experimenting and now I can’t stop. I just finished a beautiful set of beads using translucent clay stained by dehydrating and grinding up the stamens of tiger lilies. To change the look again I added a drop of red food colouring. I couldn’t believe that they worked out so well. My next experiment is with waxed crayon as per your weekly online course. Mosaics are my ultimate goal. There isn’t enough hours in the day!! I look forward to your weekly lessons and will gladly subscribe to any course that you offer. Thank you again. ~Cara-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Pendants

Thank you again Cindy for a wonderful video. Actually seeing you demonstrate how to make the Skinner Blend Plug really helped to clarify some questions I had. ~Maria-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Techniques

I agree 100% about how easy you make the mod canes! They are by far my favorite to make now. I had been following the directions in a book; rolling logs, slicing, etc. It was so much quicker using the extruder to cut the circles. My favorite way to use them is to reduce them to between 1/4″ and 1/2″ square slice them into thick beads and make bracelets! These canes are sooo cute when reduced that small and people are astounded at the detail, they’d never believe that it takes 10 minutes to make! Keep up the good work!! ~Carrie-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Cindy, as always I enjoy your short and concise video tutorials on working with clay. I also use a Dremmel and instead of holding the hand tool, I have a small vise I can attach to my work table so it holds the tool in place. To keep it from scratching the tool, simply glue felt or some craft foam sheets to the inside surface of the vice that do the gripping. You can use spray adhesive for this. This way you can use both hands to hold those hard to hold beads. Keep those videos coming. Seeing how you do things is very helpful. ~Lani-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Buffing Polymer Clay Beads

Your video demonstration for making lentil beads is great! I love the way they swirl. I’ll have to try the cd case idea. I have a lot of them laying around. ~Nora-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Lentil Beads

To All My Fellow Newbie Poly-Clayers: Being the winner of Cindy Lietz’ 2008 Treasure Hunt, and having access to Cindy’s first set of videos in what I hope will be many sets, I just want to agree with those who have now purchased the videos, and to testify to those who have not yet received Cindy’s videos: Cindy is the best teacher, and her videos are the best videos!!! :) :) :) I have already learned so much from these videos that I so fortunately won this past week. Cindy teaches the “between-the-lines” information that you don’t get when reading an instruction book. Cindy makes sure that every detail of the subject matter she is focusing is addressed, and made to understand. Not only that, but her videos are a really good quality, which makes watching them an effortless and seamless experience. The lighting in her videos is always right-on, and the angles at which she tapes what she is so eloquently teaching is very thoughtful and conducive to the viewer’s learning experience. I can not say enough for Cindy’s videos, and I know that I will continue to learn from Cindy as she puts out more video sets. See for yourselves!!! You can’t go wrong if you purchase these videos!!! Give yourself a great gift, and get them :) Sincerely, a very happy Cindy Lietz fan and follower. PS…NO…Cindy Lietz did not know I was going to write any of this :) ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Jewelry

Was glad to see the second tute on the leaf cane. You always do a great job on your videos.
Just got the back issues 008, 009 love the videos. Now I REALLY would like to have them on dvd/cd for travel, I know that’s a discussion for another time and place, but I am quite happy that I’m a subscriber of the videos and am looking forward to the day I have a complete library to reference. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Lessons

Natalie – These videos cannot be downloaded. I had wished the same things, especially since I spent a lot of time on the road and internet connections were sketchy at best. But this did not hold me back from becoming a member. Getting the weekly videos is the best thing that I have done. Without those weekly tutorials I’d be nowhere with my polymer clay. I’m glad I joined when I did … and I also purchased the beginners course and all the back issues. It was a serious decision that I had to make because my husband had recently died and my income was extremely limited. It is, outside of contributing to my church, the best expenditure that I have made in the past year. I know what you mean about wanting to watch and pause the video while working the tutorial. Cindy gives us a heads up about what we will need prior to each video. Maybe you would be able to assemble the items, and a small work surface, and take them to where you have your computer. You could condition your clay in your work area, and then do the cutting, assembly, etc. near your computer. Please don’t let this hold you back … you’ll really be missing out on a tremendous learning experience if you don’t join. We don’t always agree on the personal value of each tutorial … we do have differences of opinion … but we all agree about the on-going value of membership. I hope you can figure out a way to make this work for you. ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Puffy Beads

Cindy guides us like the North Star. We can always count on you to shine bright and direct us all through the easiest most efficient path there is to go on. That shining star within you has taught me how to have fun achieving my goal with each video you bring to me. Thank you for that bright shining guidance. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorial Videos

Hi Cindy, having just watched the video on the Tribal cane, you had my head spinning, but to see it come out the way it did was brilliant, and worth all the work, can’t wait to see what I can come up with from that experience. Thanks once again for your clear and concise way of teaching. BTW , I would love to see more than your hands while you are teaching, I have no criticism about the way you present the video, but feel we are watching a friend and would love to see your pretty face. Great. Bye. ~Elizabeth-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Tribal Canes

I always look forward to your tuts – I guess I’ll just have to look over some of your back issues to keep my creative juices flowing until next Friday! ~Hobokenmary >> This comment was originally posted here: No Polymer Clay Tutorial This Week

Just finished watching the Zebra tut. Awesome!! I can see why you warned us that it is more challenging than one would think. This is one of those that I will try the first time in front of the computer. I just love that I can do that – watch a step, pause the video, try the step, watch the step again after I screw it up, try the step again, etc. etc. etc. Thanks, Cindy and Doug for my next learning opportunity. ~Elizabeth-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Zebra Cane Animal Print Video

Hi Cindy, I love Fridays and I love how easy to understand your videos are. You explain everything so well and the photography gets up really close so I can really see what you are doing. Thanks!!! ~Dorothy-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Zebra Cane Video

I have now started actually using your videos instead of just enjoying watching them and I am really impressed with how easy they are to follow. There are so many little tips that you share that I am sure you wouldn’t get in a written tutorial. It is nice to be able to see you doing it so I know I can do it just like you (well I can try ;) ~Cara-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Opal Bake and Bond Technique

To have a resource on tap for all those late night problems is amazing. I only have to refer to the back log of videos and I have the answer. What is even better about this library of video instruction is the price. I can’t believe it is so inexpensive. I would never discontinue this weekly service. Besides Cindy has this uncanny knack of taking a complex technique and simplifying it. Just look her take on the ‘skinner’ blend! ~Cara-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Leopard Cane Tutorial

I agree with you 100%, Jill. It is so frustrating to try to find something online that gives you what you need. The videographers must not be viewing their own products. I’ve said it before “Doug and Cindy are Pros”. We’re so fortunate to have them. ~Joyce-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Beaded Lanyards

Every set of videos just keeps getting better and better. I love Fridays. Thanks for everything you have taught me Cindy. Never a dull moment. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Projects

Cindy, I am excited about the new video tutorials especially the Lace and Ink Textures and the Tribal Canes! I can’t seem to give you enough thanks for putting them together for us each week. It requires a lot of work and dedication… so I agree with Elizabeth, you should get an award for Teacher of the year… of this decade! ~Lupe-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Video Library

I also am in for this inlay technique. I have a feel for it but have not been able to completely master it. I know that I will see what I am doing wrong by watching your demo Cindy. Bring it on!!!!! I have a nice bone sheet ready to go. Thanks to your Vol-019-3 Faux Bone Video. ~Illaya-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Inlay Technique

Oh My! I’m getting so far behind. You just keep churning these wonderful videos out. I’ve been gone a few days but I’m determined to get caught up soon. Don’t quit! I’ll catch up!! LOL Thanks Cindy! ~Lynda-D >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Love to see how to use silver spoons video. I used to hate rainy days but now I don’t mind at all I can spend many happy hours on your site. I don’t seem to have any trouble finding my way around and enjoy going back to the beginning and I learn something new every day. ~Josie-T >> This comment was originally posted here: Silverware Jewelry

Hi Sarah, If you’re trying to decide whether or not to join, you should do it sooner rather than later. When you become a member, you get four videos per month for about $3.32 (or less than a dollar each.) I waited a few months before I joined, and missed out on some great videos! Once a month is over, the videos go into the library. If you didn’t join, then you miss out on those videos, unless you go and buy the back issue for $9.95. (4 videos) It’s still a great price, but not as good as the same amount for 12 videos! I know I was very mad at myself knowing I wasted money by waiting. It’s such a great deal, and I’ve never been disappointed. I’m disabled, and on a fixed income; still, I find that it’s not too hard to pay $9.95 one time for 3 months of videos. Cindy doesn’t have the written tutorials on the website. Sometimes you can get an idea about how the projects are made, if you pay attention to what people are talking about. But it’s not the same as seeing the videos. It’s true that you can learn a lot by reading the articles and comments, but not really project-specific knowledge (or at least not those projects.) There are some project ideas that are talked about. And of course, you can learn lots of great information about how to work with polymer clay. Everyone is helpful and will help answer questions, but they can’t give step-by-step directions to Cindy’s video tutorials. Good luck, and I hope you can join! ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Jellyroll Glow in the Dark Cane

Cindy’s video tutes always give me ah-ha moments. ~Katie-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Agate Video Tutorial

I vote YES! You are such a talented artist, and the fact that you are so giving in your teaching makes you even more special. So keep it comin’ Girl, I know I always learn something new from every lesson!!! ~Tiffany-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Hammered Metal Bezels for Polymer Jewelry

Hi Cindy, Love, Love, Love the this video. One question. Can these buttons be put on a shirt and put in the washing machine? Look so forward to Fridays when your new videos come out. Keep them coming. ~Maria-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Buttons

Hi Marsha – What a great idea your mirror tiles are, and so colourful too. The beveled edge plastic wrap idea is such a good one as it does give a smooth finish to the item, and like you said, who knows when we would have known that other than following Cindy’s Videos. Your ideas of how you made the metal brackets is ingenious and well worth informing us on. Lots of info is out there, but with Cindy we get it all in one place in such an understandable and pleasant manner. Just sit back and watch these amazing videos. Better than going to the Video Rental Store, or even a Retreat, it comes to you in such a warm and personal way. I’m hooked! Love to see more of your nice work. Love XXX ~Elizabeth-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Mirror Frame Tiles

Cindy, this is a fabulous video. It’s just amazing how you put together the clay to make a flower petal – and what a lot of work you did on this one. Love it! @Catalina: My Art Director is a Yorkie named Daffney. I never thought to make things out of clay for her, but I might have to start! Oh, yes… buttons would be beautiful from this cane. ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Pansy Cane Video

That was fun! Thanks Cindy! I bought a torch and all the supplies over a year ago after I took a class on metal clay. But then I “chickened out” when I was home by myself. I was afraid to use it. Everything is still in the shopping bag! Now after watching these videos and seeing how easy it looks and remembering all the safety tips I think I will DO IT!!! lol Thanks again Cindy. (But you are right…none of these videos look as clear or sound as good as yours do!) ~Maureen-G >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Jewelry Headpins

Hi Cindy, Love your site!. I’m really impressed with your approach and all the nifty tricks you have, like making a heart from a square! Awesome stuff!
