This is another beautiful palette. Thanks Doug for your uncanny ability to capture the beauty of nature, and to you, Cindy, for your uncanny ability to translate it into recipes we can incorporate into our work. What a team!! ~Elizabeth-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

I always love your color choices, Cindy. Thank goodness we have you to come up with all of these beautiful color palettes. ~Jeanne-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Colors

I consider myself pretty good at colour mixing and can usually “see” what I need to use to get a particular shade, but I’ve found that I’ve learned a lot from mixing up Cindy’s recipes, much more than I thought I would. ~Silverleaf >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Breathtaking!!!! I love everything about this…the colors and the way they work together in the cane, the design of the beads, the copper stamens, and the bail. This is an example of colors that I wouldn’t have looked at twice in the past, that I now love, because of you, Cindy! ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Woodland Flora Polymer Clay Pendant

Pansy’s are my favorite flower. I will now have to take a closer look at all my flowers in the garden. I can set and look at color for hours. ~Brenda-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Designs

Thanks for the up in coming new spring palette…gorgeous colors as usual. One of these days, you will have to explain how you play around with color to come up with these beautiful colors. Do you just sit and look at colors and then play with each of the colors and add a little bit of this color and that color to come up with them? I guess I haven’t played with color enough. I am going to have to devote some time aside from playing with it just to play with color. Thanks for all you do. ~Lupe-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

I love the colors!!! They are so bright, alive and scream “SUMMER IS HERE”. Thank you so much for the recipes. ~Cheryl-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Mixing

Thank you for sharing the full video. It was very interesting. I have been making Skinner blends and I always enjoy short cuts. One can always appreciate a process that goes from 20-25 time through the pasta machine to maybe 7-10. Great time saver in prepping for work. Leaves more time for creativity. Also liked the idea of making smaller samples before hand to see how colors would look together. Excellent idea. ~Mary-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Tear Drop Method

Beautiful color combination! They remind me of Easter and Spring for sure! ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Palettes

Oh, goody! Some colours I love. I’m a pink/purple girl, so these will be fun to try next month. Thank you, Cindy. ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipe Cards

Great idea. Keep them coming please. Mixing is just the start anyway. Knowing how to pair colors with others in a complimentary way is often even harder. So any info you can add on that subject is a big help.
Wow Kriss! For someone who doesn’t make many sets you’ve certainly nailed these ones. Your colours and styles are incredible and mixing the techniques has certainly worked in these pieces. Thanks for sharing with us. ~Aims >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Techniques

I don’t know how you keep up with everything but I am glad you do. I am not perfect when it comes to making everything you have taught us but I have tried with some success about 85% of the beads. Not so dedicated when it comes to the colors. Maybe if you do a 2nd contest you should test us on our colors also. I definitely need motivation when it comes to trying to experiment with the color recipes. I write them all down and have them all organized by color group. Just need to make myself take the time to try them. Was sick all weekend and most of this week so I haven’t even got a chance to enter the first contest yet. But I am still going to try to get some made up and sent in. I do have the motivation just not the energy or steady hands right now to try. Don’t count me out yet though. Great colors they are like your tuts haven’t seen one I haven’t liked yet. You definitely have what it takes to inspire your students Cindy. Love and Uuuuuuugggggs. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Ideas

Gorgeous palette! I agree with what Linda said above. The same thing’s happened to me. I’ve never been one for browns, but I’m appreciating them more and more. Thanks for all of these wonderful recipes, Cindy, and the beautiful, inspirational photos, Doug. ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Marsh Reeds Palette

WOW! Stunning colors, I can’t wait to get this month’s colors mixed up to see them in person.
What a soothing palette… these colors are just beautiful. Normally I am a color person – this will be my exception. Mind churning – again LOL. Your videos are so informative. Thank you Cindy and Doug. The DREAM TEAM for sure. ~Patt-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Sculpey Beach Pebbles Custom Palette

Beautiful palette Cindy and so relaxing. Thanks so much for the many palettes, you make it so vivid with the descriptions and stories. I was born and grew up in Mumbai, and there are a lot of coconut palms. Every part of the coconut palm is used. The leaves for roofs in the villages and woven into trays, baskets, the coconut shell made into ladles, the coir used in mattresses. The coconut milk is used in cooking and the creamy flesh of the coconut is so delicious; I love the coconut water, it’s very cool and refreshing in the hot summer and recommended for hepatitis. ~Cherie-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Desert Oasis Palette

Hi Cindy, I want to say thank you for the great color palettes and amazing projects. I love making canes inspired by your rich color groups, and cannot wait until Fridays to see what wonderful projects you have up your sleeves. ~Lindsay-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

Another wonderful color palette, Cindy. Someday I hope to take the time to play around with mixing colors but for now I love what you do the best ~Joyce-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Color Recipes

I would love to make a wild violet cane because of the vibrant purples which the skinner blend plug technique you showed last week would be perfect for at least a different kind depth would be seen in the cane. Besides the only flowers that grow around my house are either wild or made of clay! And looking at photos for ideas of depth, shape and color should be a tried and true method when it comes to caning and any other polymer clay project! Even if the photo is a beautiful / simple hand drawn pic made all by yourself! P.S. I love the videos you send every week they really do inspire me! ~Abby-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Designs

Amazing colors Cindy! I once made a beaded necklace for a color challenge where I used purple and yellow. I would have never thought of those two colors together, but they sure look good together, needless to say I was very happy with the outcome. Looking forward to the new recipes. ~Lupe-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Color Inspiration for Polymer Clay Jewelry

Watched your skinner blend method. Your technique took the hair-pulling out of blending. I recommend. ~Barbara-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Teardrop Method Polymer Clay Color Blends

I have been here for quite a while now, and have not been disappointed yet Cindy. So anything you want to do, just makes being here better and better for me. I love every minute of it I can get. Even when I’m very busy I try to peek in every day. Just to take a breath and suck in some of the atmosphere of creativity and camaraderie here. Hopefully one day I will be able to participate more when I have my own work space done. Until then you all keep me stoked and ready to go the second I am able! Couldn’t face a week without a Friday tute and color recipes either. So don’t ever stop!
Bet these skins will look good using the Stargazer lily colours – tropical camouflage for leopards. Was the story of Little Black Sambo part of your juvenile literary upbringing? “Now I’m the smartest tiger in the jungle” was the refrain, as Little Black Sambo bribed them with his clothes so they would not to eat him. Would make good frog skins, not to mention Spotted Cane Toad (groan) ~Squiddy >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

Oh, yummy! I’m not normally a person that likes yellows and browns very much or uses a lot of them in my palette, but these are great colours! ~Laura-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Colors

All I can say after viewing this tute is this technique is so simple, so logical, so “duh” – (so why didn’t I think of it before?!?!)
What beautiful colors you’ve chosen to replicate again, Cindy, and what great photography skills shown by Doug! This is another one of my favorite flowers, along with some of my favorite colors (and, dare I say, favorite time of year too?), so I can’t wait to “have at ‘em”!
I totally agree that you just need to really “see” what you’re looking at and you’ll find inspiration everywhere. I’m currently working on making beads with the colors that are in my friend’s fleece jacket. I’ve been a decorative painter for many years and often saw things that I’d like to paint, but didn’t think I could pull it off. With clay, you have so much more creative freedom! You can pick up on colors and shapes and experiment with them. You don’t have to reproduce things exactly how you see them. And sometimes there are exciting results to those experiments! ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Creativity

Cindy – I am amused to tell you that I don’t need to come to your site to know what colours you are featuring next – my sales went up on Glow in the Dark suddenly, and at first I couldn’t work out why! I guess I need to thank you and your team of followers! ~Penny-V >> This comment was originally posted here: Glow in the Dark Premo

Cindy, it takes a special person, like you are, to inspire so many others – not only artistically but by touching their hearts. Oh, and I just LOVE your low tech system with the file cards for storing all of the color recipes. I put mine in a binder, instead of a box, for easy reference! xoxoxoxoxo, ~Lori F >> This comment was originally posted here: Johnny Jump-Up Pansy Cane Video

Oh my! I like all your color palettes Cindy but these are simply stunning!! I love them. ~Laurel-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Lily Bud Color Palette

Hi Cindy, Here I am with my Holly Berry Canes and what I did with them. I was lucky enough to have all the recipes for the colours so went ahead and made them all up before I started. I loved the Succulent red and the Frosted Leaf colours. As you can see in the photo below, I made 2 necklaces, and another pendant, and a bell like decoration. Haven’t finished that one properly yet. Finished most of them by sanding and polishing with Denim cloth. Was very pleased with the shine I got with the denim. Put some gold glitter in the Forest Floor clay color. OK onto the next project. Thanks for all your efforts. Love. ~Elizabeth-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Christmas Holly Leaf And Berry Canes

Oh what beautiful colors for the Fall!! Can’t wait to mix them! ~Maureen-G >> This comment was originally posted here: Siberian Wallflower Color Palette

Having many options is a plus, especially since we can go back and watch the video again later. I love the look of having a variety of techniques in one project. It adds interest. I also love how you show the color combination in a variety of techniques: Beta fish colors in the graffiti beads and dogwood cane. Having a mix of beads to chose from when I am stuck for an idea. I hope you are not running out of ideas. ~Anna-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Christmas Canes

I like it. We switched to burgundy and forrest/deep green away from the traditional reds and greens a few years ago but I think this color palette would work with that as well. I can’t wait to see all the holiday surprises you have in store. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Candy Cane

I love Coleus, It was the very first plant I had real success with in my first flower garden after I got married 32 years ago. I can’t wait to try these new vibrant colors out. Sandra I love your motto that is what I need to do more often. It is going to be a great end to a colorful year Cindy. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Coleus Leaf Polymer Color Palette

These are so beautiful! One of my clay resolutions for the new year is to use only custom colors from the library in my creations — as much as possible, anyway. Can’t wait to add these to the choices. ~Elizabeth-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Salmon Pearls Palette

Cindy, another great video!!! Can’t wait to get my studio back (college age granddaughter here, and semester starts later this month). You have used a beautiful color combo for this [tribal] cane and it will fit nicely as it has a Southwest look about it. Thanks again. ~Catherine-R >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutorials

What a good idea. I usually start with too much clay, add a little more of one of the colors and end up with a bigger project that doesn’t turn out very good. Because of that I don’t go back and start again but go on to something else that did turn out good. I’m going to start small and go back and make more of the same thing until I get one that satisfies me. Of course, some of the things that don’t turn out right are great in their own way. ~Freda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Polymer Clay Beads

Beautiful, Cindy! Now show us how to make the African violet as a cane and I’ll be really happy. I used to have African violets but they froze when the power and gas both were out for 10 days here at Lake Tahoe during a February storm. If I could make them as canes they would definitely last! ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Blue African Violet Palette

What I like about the January videos is the variety – a cane, a shaped bead, a wire project, and a technique. My favorite of all tho, is the color palette. Those salmon pink colors are absolutely gorgeous. I misread one of the recipes and added too much red to one of the paler colors and it was still wonderful. I wrote my mistake down so I could do it again. I love having a nice recipe and then taking off from there with some changes. Thank you Cindy. ~Rose-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library

Thanks for your response.
This looks like a lot of fun! I just spent quite a time trying to discover how to stop a blend from getting too wide – it will be exciting to see how your method compares to what I found on-line. The colours are so lovely… I was “stuck” on black and white for such a long time that now I have moved into colour I can’t get enough of it! ~Susan-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Glowing Jellyroll Cane

Love these leaves. I’m also thinking metallic, bronze would be good. Made rather alot of green recently with the jade which I am very pleased with as well. Thanks Cindy. ~Christine-L >> This comment was originally posted here: Ivy Leaf Charms Jewelry

Oh my goodness, you’ve outdone yourself Cindy! This one is so very beautiful! I am not sure what to use it for, yet, but I will put these colors to work, for sure. They might even make pretty Easter items, much cooler than the more ordinary pastels. I love how Karen O. uses EVERY opportunity to think about colors; it’s true, there are times when you’ve got nothing to do but think ;-p. Funny, but great ideas can come anywhere, anytime. ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Lakeside Color Palette

I am a painter and didn’t think that I would need the recipe cards because I am so used to mixing paint colors together… well… I LOVE THE RECIPE CARDS!!! You have shown me that there are sooooooo many different colors that I can make from my clay! So many different greens, blues, reds, purples, yellows, and even metallic colors and different natural “white” colors. Thank you so much! ~Cindy-E >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Tutor Library

I never thought of myself as a color person. But thanks to Cindy I’ve been playing more and more with clay mixing. It’s so fun to just take lots of bright colors like pinks and neon greens and blues and end up with a beautiful earth tone color. Very cool. ~Rada-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Quiz

I love how you take inspiration for color palettes from your environment! It’s so much more fun than just looking at color swatches. ~Karen-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Clay Color Recipes

WOW, this technique of yours is awesome…. Thank you so much for sharing with us… I love your color blends and look forward to them every week, but this was the icing on the cake… I can’t wait to try it, especially since it’s much faster. ~Michele-N >> This comment was originally posted here: Lietz Teardrop Color Blend Method

I stumbled across your web site by doing a google search on how to mix polymer clay colors. Your site is so informative and user friendly. Thankx!!! ~Pamela-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Clay Jewelry and Beads

I like using the FIMO soft clay as well as the PREMO although there are more colors available in the PREMO than the FIMO at least at JoAnn’s or Michael’s. But your color palette cards come in handy when you just can’t find the right color and so you make your own. ~Lupe-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Polymer Clay

I do love the idea of using nature as a palette and creating Skinner blends. My mom always told me that to match colors, “…ask the pansies. If God put it on a flower you can wear it too”. The photo reminds me of her, and makes me want to work on more blends based on nature. ~TK >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Designs

Hi Cindy, The texturizing with rubber stamps video was exactly what I was looking for. Great explanations and I loved the results. The columbine colours are gorgeous, too.
Hi Cindy, Sorry I’m being so impatient! I look forward to Fridays for your videos and recipes. Will you be doing the raku video soon? I’d love to try that. I don’t have too many colors mixed up as yet, but am going to do as many of the recipes as possible and make myself the color samples to attach to the cards. That will make it so much easier to choose my colors. Warm regards. ~Cheryl-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Beads

Cindy, I thought your course was very informative. I never worked with clay before, but read several books. I like to be shown how to do things rather than just reading about them. Most of the things that are in your course I was familiar with. I just needed to hear some of the problems that you had making things so that I could correct my way of doing things. I find myself looking forward to your new video every week, along with the color recipes. ~CJ >> This comment was originally posted here: Faux Leather Rose Beads

Hi Cindy, I can’t believe how much I’ve learned in such a short period of time. Your site is the greatest. :) And Carrie… thank you for sharing your recipes.
Cindy – you are such an inspiration to all of us with this site and with what you do.
This palette of lily colors is spot on. The next door circle has a dedicated gardener who has planted lilies of every size shape and color imaginable. Just checked the colors this morning… oh, Cindy, the pinks and oranges are perfect, but, wow the black violet is just spot on with hers. It matches the stamens, but also a new variety of lilies she just planted this year. Perfect petal match, just gorgeous. Thank you for the share. ~Jocelyn-C >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

Your recipes for different colors are priceless and such a time saver. I took index cards, printed the color and recipe on them then glued a baked sample on the card. Now when I need that just so color, I can just find it on my index card and whip it up with out the waste and mistakes of finding just what one I need. Fantastic!! Thanks. ~Yvonne-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Colors

Cindy, Here you are inspiring me and boosting my confidence again! I admire how you can take us through your thought process and break down what you see in the photo. For example you describe the Skinner blend-like color transitions and how the black slashes “bridge” the colors. I feel like you’re teaching me to “paint” with clay. Having never taken any art classes, I imagine that this is the way an art teacher engages students in beginning to see the world in a more nuanced way – a way in which recreating nature in art becomes a possibility through understanding and being able to dissect what one is seeing! ~Kimberlee-J >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Designs

An interesting thing has gradually been happening to me over the past 6 months, since I joined Cindy’s group. I’m beginning to appreciate colors that I always disliked before. This is something that never happened to me in over 20 years of decorative painting! I think it’s because of the way that Cindy groups the four colors together in such a pleasing combination. This palette is a good example. I’ve always preferred greens with less yellow and more blue in them, and brown has never moved me. Yet here are four of the colors I would not have used in the past, yet I’m thinking about how I can use them in my jewelry. Wow. ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Marsh Reeds Palette

Hi Cindy. I just love the way you described each of these colors. I felt so inspired after reading it. You are unbelievable and so talented in so many diff rent things. ~Helen-S >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Clay Color Recipes

Cindy, I just love the way your color pallets are based on nature – God’s natural color combinations. We really can’t improve on that, but you do a superb job of capturing the colors that we might not really notice otherwise. Thank you so much! ~Carolyn-F >> This comment was originally posted here: Alpine Lichen Palette

Your teardrop method of blending is just too simple. I like the idea that you only need to use a small portion of clay to test out color combinations. Thank-you! ~Barb-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Tear Drop Blend

I love how you share these photos that give you your inspiration. I know this tree as the Mighty Madrone. It is a gorgeous tree, can be a messy one, very much like the peppercorn tree of California.
What a great idea! This palette is absolutely beautiful. This is a very fun way to get inspired after the long cold winter. Flowers! Can’t wait to try them in some beads. ~Sue-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Curiosity Cactus Palette

Love this palette Cindy! I like to work in these color ranges a lot, so these recipes will come in handy. I like these flowers too, and brought some back to my own garden to grow my own supply. I use them in summer flower arrangements all the time. I like the pods at the base especially. They would make a cool complimentary bead on a necklace of flowers in this colorway, don’t you think?
Cindy, that tribal cane tutorial was awesome. I love those beads you made. I’m thinking turquoise, raw umber, ecru and alizarin crimson with the black.
I’ve only been making beads out of clay for a couple of months, but I feel the videos in your Polymer Clay Beginners Course where just great for someone breaking into the craft. Some of the topics I had already gleaned from the Internet from various sources but it REALLY helped to have a high quality video to SHOW you up close and personal about the topics you discussed. I definitely feel the series is a bargain and would recommend it. I subscribed to your weekly videos and have made beads from many of the tutorials. I look forward to the new video that comes out each week. I’m just beginning to experiment with mixing colors, so I believe the recipe cards will come in really handy in the future as well. Keep up the fantastic work! ~June-W >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Beads

WOW – Your inspiration not only comes across in my clay world but in my world of color too. I’m not very disciplined when it comes to making my own colors even though you have it all layed out for us. I am so inspired by this group of colors that I will try my best to use them in some of volume fourteen tutorial beads I will be sending in as soon as I am up to it. Once again, thank you for being you Cindy. You not only ROCK MY WORLD with creativity you COLOR MY WORLD. You definitely have inspired my inner me.
I have to share with you that this article gave me the confidence to really commit to experimenting with mixing colors. I’m using your little pill sample technique and I’m so happy with the results! Plus my experimentation has led me to find a beautiful shade of purple that is just perfect for making beads to support my local university team. Fancy that! Plus it’s just a pretty purple! Thanks for instilling confidence and providing some really great recipes. I think the best part about these recipes is the way the translucent works to enhance the quality of the color. Kinda makes it POP! ~Kimberlee-J >> This comment was originally posted here: Mixing Polymer Clay Colors

Cindy, I love how you say that if you want to be good with color, you can. It gives me hope. Yes, it’s true that some people are just “born with it;” they just have that innate sense of how to use color. But others can work at it, and develop a sense of color with practice and the proper training. One can hope, anyway! ~Phaedrakat >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Millefiori Beads

I love the pumpkin earrings. I get the small color recipe size by saving it to “my pictures”. It allows me to print four recipes on one page which automatically reduces the size.
I’m still new at mixing colors.
Cindy, you won’t believe this but I was going to ask you if you would post a blank of your color recipe] card, something we could put into Word or some other word processor to type up our recipes on. Again you’re Psychic and reading our minds. Thank you both again. P.S. Yes please send us more formulas. Between Cindy’s cards today, Carrie’s formulas today and discovering that chart on the Kato colors yesterday my head is spinning rapidly and I’m quickly falling behind on preparing the chips for the cards. Having a blast though. ~Ken-H >> This comment was originally posted here: Sculpey III Polymer Clay Recipes

I’m in on the excitement too Cindy. Love your colour combos in this video as well!
More beautiful colors, Cindy. Looking forward to working with them. Nature is truly awesome and it is so wonderful to have you tuned in and sharing all the splendor.
The Salmon Pearl colors are as beautiful as the picture. You must be so thrilled your husband shares in your talent. The two of you must inspire each other and together comes such beauty. I am looking so forward to spending more time with you and my clay family in 2010. It is going to be a great year with breath taking colors, thanks to you and your hubby. ~Peggy-B >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Inspiration

You are so right! Some of the happiest days in my craft room are those when I get distracted and start working on a technique or combining colors just for the sake of wanting to know how it would turn out. Interestingly, the results are often those I love the most. ~Elizabeth-S >> This comment was originally posted here: How To Make Polymer Clay Beads

So I made watercolour beads today, as usual I had to put my own spin on the technique though! I’m proud that apart from the white and black, everything I used was scrap clay or leftovers from another project. If I’d made a New Year’s claying resolution it would have been to try to use as much of my leftover clay as possible rather than just adding it to the (admittedly quite small) scrap pile. Like if I make a particularly nice Skinner blend it seems such a shame to waste the beautiful colours in the trimmings. ~Silverleaf >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Bead Making Tips

I haven’t had time to try any of these recipes yet, but I intend to try the peony recipe tomorrow. I think it will make a beautiful color for one of the hearts you taught us last month. ~Linda-K >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Color Recipes

This week’s color, rose cream, is a beautiful pale pink – good enough to eat. I used it for a heart with dark red lace. Also made a black one with silver lace. I’m looking forward to getting them out of the oven and finishing them. ~Rose-M >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Rose Color Palette

I totally identify with what Kriss said about the Mica Shift Tutorial! I have been doing tons of mica shift dangle earrings, they are selling like crazy at a hair salon that has my stuff for sale! Plus, I’m having a lot of fun seeing what new colors I can make by mixing the pearl clay colors! Also, it is SOOO much easier to slice the design when it is on something round!
I just wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying the new website and I am finally getting around all the links with ease, thanks for explaining. I am excited to try out all the new color cards and I will definitely tell all my fellow polymer clay guild people about this website especially because that is the number one problem with so many — colors and mixing. I think I am going to start to finally like my finished products enough to put them on Etsy. Thanks again. ~Lupe >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library

How very useful… thank you! I confess to only recently beginning to use my own colour mixes.
I just wanted to let you know I have been able to access the videos and recipe cards I signed up for. I’m enjoying your web site and watching your videos. I’m excited about trying your ideas and mixing your recipes. Color mixing is not something I’m especially good at so it’s really helpful to me to have access to color recipes. Best regards ~Deborah >> This comment was originally posted here: Premo Sculpey Clay

I’m new at polymer clay but after encouragement from Cindy on my blog I got up enough courage to start playing. Color has been fascinating for me. After some doing some color mixing experiments that went horribly wrong, I am excited to start using the color recipe cards! ~Judith >> This comment was originally posted here: Mixing Polymer Clay Colors

Dear Cindy, Thank you for your great color recipes. It would be great to get blank cards for my own recipes. It this possible? Helpful hint for European fans…. to match A7 index cards set wide (Breite) on 11cm. This works perfect with A7 card boxes. Best regards. ~Janine >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay

Hi Cindy, Your “Polymer Clay Bead Making for Beginners Course” is exceptional. I can’t agree more with all those who have said what a great teacher you are. And the presentation of the material you cover is easy to understand. The lighting in your studio is beyond professional. I have tried to learn another subject through tv video and the quality you have just wasn’t there. So I have an experience to compare to and you have it all. I have learned so much and now the fun begins to be able to play with the clay and make things happen. Of course I will need to refer to the tuts and their being available 24/7 is such a plus, no waiting for the class to begin, it is only a click away. Also, your video library has so much more and I’m excited about trying out the recipe cards. It is difficult at times to come away from your blog. All these artists who willingly share their talents also are wonderful. Its like an extended family in the clay world. Sometime I hope to be able to contribute an experience but for now I will be there with questions as I share this experience with my twin granddaughters who will spend their summer vacation here in sunny Florida. Thank you, Cindy. ~Joyce >> This comment was received via email.

Thank you Cindy! I too have noticed I lean towards the richer colors. I’m glad I found your blog, it’s a fantastic read. ~Stephanie >> This comment was originally posted here: Bead Making Color Inspiration

I’m way back here! I was in such a hurry I didn’t digest all you have given us. I’m soooo glad to have become a member and hope this time around can get those colors I missed. Thank You again! ~Mary Ellen >> This comment was originally posted here: Translucent Clay Comparison

I would never have known or thought about mixing colors of different temperatures, but of course! That makes sense! I’m ready to learn how to leach out the plasticizers! ~Cynister >> This comment was originally posted here: Beginner Polymer Clay Canes

I have been subscribing to Cindy Lietz Tutor since about October ’08. Her daily blogs are free to all and I find them very informative. Cindy does not try to cram in too much information and is excellent in presenting in a concise, organized and informative way. Her video tutorials are very well done; picture quality and content are excellent. Cindy and husband Doug do photo editing before posting a tutorial and do a lot of close up shots in a variety of angles of a bead or project; I am sure a lot of footage “ends up on the cutting room floor.” As in her daily blogs, she does not repeat what others have already covered but does does research and tries techniques before posting a video showing what she has found to be most successful. As a paid subscriber, I love the color pallet recipes and don’t know where else to get anything like them. I am confident she has tried out recipes before posting them on her site. How does she know White and Gold Fimo produces a better combination than White and Gold Premo? You asked if $9.95 is a good value. To me, it is an excellent value because of the above stated reasons. I have been following this site on a daily basis long enough to know the blogs, recipes and videos have saved me a lot of frustration, discouragement and money through techniques that save time and materials. ~Anna >> This comment was received via email.

So true Cindy – the journey is often a long one full of stunning objects which we often take for granted. Thank you so much for sharing! ~Lunes >> This comment was originally posted here: Making Polymer Clay Beads with a Spring Color Palette

The rhododendrons colors are very nice! I can see the beads right in front of me :) Thanks for nice flower photos. :) ~Zarah >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Spring Colors

I’ve been using the Cindy Lietz beadsandbeading. I especially like being able to order “back issues” based on topics that I really want to know about. Recipes are good, videos are good. The field has become so vast that I find I have to narrow my focus or I don’t get anywhere! So I like being able to learn about “sanding and buffing” long before I am ready for Mokume Gane. Then she has that too when I’m ready. ~Monique >> This comment was received via email.

I really liked the part about adding translucent clay to give it a more realistic translucency. I can see all the flowers in my mind now, of course being new it will take me a while but I will get there. Thanks. ~Cheryl >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Cane Designs

Thank you very much for this chance to catch up on getting the free color recipes. I thought I was only one week behind but I must have been two weeks. There are not to many people who would go the extra mile to make sure we all had a chance to get something free. You are truly a great person.
I love Cindy Leitz’s web site www.beadsandbeading.com – I signed up and all the videos are very helpful. I hadn’t made polymer clay beads before and it helped a lot with that. I like her color recipes too. ~Betsy >> This comment was received via email.

The colors seem to flow together when I look at them differently now. Its so amazing. Thank you. Hopefully I am going to become a full member when I can afford the membership. I am still bouncing back from paying for cancer treatment (no insurance) and then no income, (surprise separation) I am not fishing for pity so please. I feel very blessed to be here. The hard times make the good times so much sweeter. Thank you Cindy for passing your knowledge on and for all the inspiration you give everyone.
Thanks that helps a lot. I’m pretty good at “seeing” colors, but when it comes to mixing them, I’m not so good at that, I know that with practice I’ll get better at it, but that takes time and I’m still a newbe to PC. ~Ken >> This comment was originally posted here: Orange Polymer Clay Color Recipes

Cindy; I have been really enjoying the videos & recipes. They are teaching me a lot about beads and the basics of polymer clay. I am very new to polymer clay and really appreciate all techniques.
Just a beginner here. Since my color mixing hasn’t worked well (your recipe cards will be a boon).
I totally love your website. I was looking for color recipes for my teapots and your website came up. Keep up the great information. Thank you so much. ~Nancy >> This comment was received via email.

First of all, I want to thank you Cindy again for all the help you gave me and how patient you were when I had some trouble with my username and password. Well I’m all squared away now and very happy with my charter membership and am enjoying all the videos I couldn’t get access to before. I occasionally feel like I need some inspiration at times and these videos and color recipes are definitely useful. I encourage everyone who hasn’t signed up yet to do so – it really is a great deal. Plus Cindy is very prompt at answering one’s questions/concerns about this addictive medium. ~Maria >> This comment was originally posted here: Polymer Clay Library Gran Opening

Cindy you make it seem that creating canes can be so effortless. I love what you do, and how you put into words the instruction for others to follow. I love the colors of flowers in nature to and I think that those colors in that one flower in this post are amazing.
Hi Cindy! I have paid the $9.95 for the back issues and am a monthly paying member. The color cards are ingenious…love them! And, since I am a hands on person, I love the videos.
Diddo what MJ commented on. I really like the picture format with the palette samples because it can inspire you to create using that particular palette of colors. Sometimes you have the color cards in front of you and it takes awhile to decide how you will incorporate them into your piece whether it be jewelry or something else.
Beautiful colors! I’m glad you can invision colors. Nature is a great source for inspiration and living in Arizona I enjoy the earth tones of the desert, the wonderful colors from our cactus and wildflowers, the color influence from Mexico and of course the sunsets. Trying to duplicate them is a tough one for me. Have you ever considered doing a southwest color palette? Wouldn’t it be fun to do a series on colors from around the world, tulips from Holland, the waters of Aruba, colors from the rainforest….! Wow one could stay a wake all night just dreaming up colors.
I think for a beginner (like me) Cindy’s videos are tremendously helpful and informative. I subscribe and look forward each week to seeing what I get to learn from her. You could probably search and find similar info from other places, but it’s nice to have this come directly to my inbox and I don’t have to do any work. But I’m lazy like that. ;) She sort of starts with a basic technique and then builds on that with subsequent episodes which is nice as well. (and probably a good way to keep her subscribers wanting more!) :) The color recipes with the printable cards are nice to have as well! ~Camille >> This comment was received via email.

I highly recommend Cindy’s site. I am a member and the videos and recipes are worth the fee. Maybe there is information for free on the net but you have to have the time to sift through all of it. Cindy’s tutorial comes to you and they are very easy to follow with a wealth of information. Cindy always takes the time and is very prompt answering any questions and helping which you will not be able to get through any of the other free info out there. ~FP >> This comment was received via email.

This tip is fantastic! I purchased a couple of Fimo multiple color packs that were on clearance sale. I found there were colors in the package that I normally wouldn’t use straight out of the package, such as a bright magenta and a bright green. However, when I mixed those colors 4:1 with copper, I got a lovely deep rose color as well as an olive green color that went perfectly with the rose color! I had to keep experimenting, so I ended up with several nice colors that go well together. Thank you!! ~Karen >> This comment was originally posted here: Gold Polymer Clay as a Base for Mixing Other Colors

Dear Cindy, I was toooo late I know. Is there any chance to get the bonus recipes? I started with PC beginning of September and at the beginning I was not so familiar what I really need and what not. And now I know…. I need colors and of course a lot of colors, much more then Premo, Cernit and Fimo offers right from the pack. I will order the back issues within the next week, but how could I get the bonus colors. I love your side and your tipps. Greetings from Germany (and sorry for my horrible english). ~Janine @ Color Recipes for Polymer Clay Canes

OK, in addition to being a guru, color genius, you must also be a mind-reader. I have just made my first beads with polymer clay and have already wondered, a couple of times, if I really needed to sand them. Since I am lying in bed, right now, doing the treasure hunt and my wonderful, yet exhausted husband is asleep and has to get up and work tomorrow, I am going to have to wait until the a.m. to sand, but trust me, it will be number one on my to do list, right after my coffee! Thanks. ~Karen @ Sanding Polymer Clay

Can you say MUD!! I have had my fair share of mixing the wrong colors together. I have never had a course in color theory and learned pretty quickly that is is difficult to always get the desired result. But thanks to your color recipes I’m doing a lot better now! ~Katina @ Starter Polymer Clay Colors

I love these colors, how u put so much effort into them, making them so accurate. i love how the blues bring out the yellow and orange, and no so much the greens, which makes the flower look more prominent. i tried making a few, and although i didn’t have all the colors that were required, i was able to substitute, and i can pretty close. this really saves alot of time, and no weird heap poo colored clay at the end which u aren’t able to do nothing much with. ~Shirley @ Color Mixing

If you have done nothing else Cindy you have made people stop and look at the world around them. This fast pace world that we live in, does take up to much of our time and then we ask ourselves where did the time go. My motto is Stop, Look and Listen. Look around you and enjoy the beauty from with in, and think to yourself how can I create that beauty into a work of art. Create something to show other people there is still beauty in the world and if your art work can make people stop and say thats nice, you have accomplished what you set out to do. I think that is why I have so much fun Polymer Clay. ~Sandra @ Flower Cane Designs
